Bir Shrestho Matiur's 40th death anniversary observed
![]() Sunday, August 21, 2011 Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) observed the 40th death anniversary of Shaheed Flight Lieutenant M Matiur Rahman Bir Shrestho with due solemnity yesterday, says an ISPR release. On the occasion, milad mahfil was held at the central mosques of all BAF Bases after Maghrib prayers where munajat was also offered seeking divine blessings for the departed soul and peace and prosperity of the country. The Cricket World CupTrophy will arrive in Dhaka on 3 Feb'2011
The cricket World Cup trophy will arrive in Dhaka on 3 Feb'2011 Thursday. Bangladesh found the hosting credit of the highest cricket event for the first time. The opening ceremony on Feb 17 and the first match (Feb 19) of the tournament will be held in Dhaka. The trophy will reach Dhaka under the authority of Hero Honda Limited, the official partner of the event. Hero Honda Hunk team will travel through the whole city with the trophy, a statement on Wednesday said. The Roadshow will launch from the office of Atlas Bangladesh Limited at 9am.
